This is our wind-tunnel developed turbine.
Our goal was to create an efficient turbine that was quiet, vibration-free, and capable of withstanding hurricane force winds. After independent testing, we proved that our goals were met.
The blade design was refined in our own 175 mph wind tunnel. The blade had to capture the wind effectively, but not trap the wind. This sounds simple, but it wasn't. There also has to be the right number of blades.
A major issue was levitation. In 2007, we developed a simple levitation process using two opposing neodymium ring magnets. This design was first shown by us at the 2007 Wind Show in Houston, TX.
Another issue was the blade supports (the horizontal sections) that ties the unit together. These had to be the right number, the right spacing, and right material. The final issue was how to connect the blades to these supports.
The aluminum turbine is powder-coated to the customer's color requirements. We also use a 1" keyed stainless steel shaft for exceptional strength and durability.
Wind directors are normally fixed structures that smoothly cause the wind to flow into the wind turbine. You can think of a wind director as a funnel. The larger the funnel, the more wind you capture and the more power you will get from the turbine. In other words, if you doubled the physical size of the funnel you'd double the power.
We also want a smooth or laminar flow into the wind turbine. With laminar flow all the wind energy available is introduced into the turbine. The turbine was designed
specifically to handle free flowing wind.
You achieve laminar flow by properly designing your wind directors. You avoid sharp corners or flat surfaces.
We offer complete sets of wind directors starting at just $759.95 per set. Add the T2 wind directors for $1,456 and double your output power for the same wind speed.
It's simple physics - and the reason some people have given up on the world's valuable wind resource.
To get power from the wind, you need to intercept a large amount of wind.
Long propeller blades miss most of the wind. Our turbines get all of the wind energy.
The generator is attached under the turbine and the mechanical advantage is set to match customer's wind profile. There are no user serviable parts other than potentially replacing the belts.
Our turbine systems are industrial strength units designed for decades of trouble-free use. We back these powerful all-metal turbines with service,
technical support, and solid warranties. Once properly installed, you can expect the system to withstand the harshest weather while quietly providing free power. No noise,
no vibration, and no concerns about harming birds or other animals.
With all this, our turbines are remarkably low priced.
